@ Chilcomb Church - Winchester

I have been working at Chilcomb Church nr Winchester for the last 3 years and found it a place of relaxation and tranquility, it offers so much with it's prime location and with the back drop of surrounding trees makes it a very special place to visit and work within.

I also find it often helps me working in the still and unhabital area, as I can find myself slipping away from the every day to day pressure, Chilcomb Church has a lot to offer to everyone, many people use the church as a starting location for tracks into the woods which lead onto the much loved South Downs walking trail.

The actual work which I tend to is the maintainence of the surrounding grounds.

The Church is also being used as the venue of my wedding in June this year to my partner Susannah Brooks, we found it to be an ideal location and also feel that the church has a magical feel to it.

It seems strange but I know that when I am working within the grounds I can sense that I am not Alone!! I have had countless occasions where I have sensed and seen people ( Spirit People ) around me and I also feel that these people have made it possible for me to marry at such a lovely church.

My main occupation is as an Electrical Cable Jointer for the company Southern Electric. My work takes me around the areas of Slough and surrounding areas I find it very rewarding to work with fine detail and I am also proud of the work that I under-take and know that it has been done to the best of my abilities.

I was first introduced to Jointing by my father Mark Stephens who taught me what I know today, as an experianced 33kv High voltage Jointer he knew pretty much everything there was to do with the electrical work - he now works with my brother Barry Stephens who is learning to do both Low Voltage and High Voltage mains work.

Now I am working in Slough training to do my 11kv with an experienced Jointer and hopefully will soon be approved to work on the High Voltage network.

Susannah and I married at St Andrews Church in Chilcomb it was a glorious day and one in which I felt made us even closer together. I feel that there is a real Spiritual connection between us and that I have known Sue in a previous Life.

I find that being with Sue she is so caring and considerate, I also find that she is my inspiration and Rock to have by my side.
